- Self-esteem is the ability to love or like yourself whether
or not you are successful. Self-esteem is self-love. It doesn't
have to be earned through achievement or perfection. You can give
it to yourself without having to prove anything.
- Your moods are created by your thoughts. By talking back to
negative thoughts, you can often achieve a dramatic and positive
change in your mood.
- The most important step to managing your mood is to write your
automatic (negative) thoughts on a piece of paper. The process
of writing will stop the thoughts from repeating endlessly. The
objective appraisal of your automatic self-talk will lead to a
more realistic view of reality and yourself.
- A belief system that says, "To be worthwhile, I must achieve,"
will reduce your effectiveness through unnecessary self-induced
pressure. Perfectionist attitudes can contribute to lower performance
and reduce a person's life and career satisfaction.
- Overcome your negative, twisted, and distorted thought patterns,
and you will boost your productivity and self-esteem.

- Success is a journey, not a destination, so, if you're successful
in your travel toward success, that becomes success.
- You must take charge of your own life, and you must not point
the finger at luck, fate, other people, or your family history.
You can say that you've had problems because of these things,
but ultimately you are responsible for yourself.
- Luck comes when opportunity meets preparation.
- There are so many opportunities today, so many chances, that
I weep at people who say it's all been said or done. It hasn't.
We've just started.
- I see much more clearly the good I can do and the constructive
things I can give. Because the more you give, the more you get.
